Now, I think I'm going to go watch it again :D That's not something you can do easily in action movies:)

This movie made me laugh, and made me cry.
I haven't seen very many Korean movies, but I honestly believe he could be the best actor in Korea, and one of the best in the world. More than that, this movie would be nothing without her. I loved the little girl~! I couldn't help it. (though in my personal interest, Won Bin is quite a bit more attractive than Liam Neeson )) They both have a lot of fast-paced action, a sense of justice, a feeling of wanting to protect something important, and a seriously kick-ass hero to dish it out. In the beginning I kept thinking how this movie reminded me of the Hollywood movie "Taken". Now I feel EXTREMELY guilty that I was so hesitant to watch this movie. "Sunny" sounded ok, and "The Man From Nowhere" was even better still not quite what I wanted, but the options were starting to get pretty slim and since it was ranked #2, I decided to trust the statistics. I kept scrolling down and down but nothing really caught my eye. Originally, I was looking for a movie to watch to kill some time. It didn't bother me, but if you have a weak tolerance to these things, then this movie may not be very pleasant for you. Instead, they went with the easy ending, and nearly ruined the film in the process.Keep in mind, "The Man From Nowhere" has considerably more blood, gore, and violence than most movies. It would have dangled the miraculous happy ending in front of us, then wrenched it away while the reality of the consequences of the story came to bear. That would have made for a heart-wrenching transition. The embracing in the sunlight having just been his imagination. However, I would have then phased it to the garage and him clutching her lifeless body. Had I been the director, I'd have gone with the exact ending the way they did it, even up to him hugging her in the sunlight at the very end. They essentially said, "look at these awful things that are going to happen to this poor girl! Who can save her? What a sad story." then at the end said, "Oh, we were just teasing about those terrible things. It wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't just implied that terrible things befell the girl. Not because it makes it a better film, not because it makes more sense, but just because it will appease most audience members. The directors went for the easy ending where things end up happy just for the sake of ending happy. Furthermore, it completely cheapens and saps any tensity or meaning from the final fight scene that came just before. And they never even explained how she avoided this fate. When mere scenes earlier she was literally seconds away from having her eyes scooped out of her head. Out of nowhere, the girl is alive and unharmed. I thought the ending was a complete and utter cop out. If I'm wrong, obviously just disregard what I say below. I'm assuming this is the moving I am remembering.
